We are seeking an experienced reporter to lead our coverage of U.S. and international climate change policy and regulation; clean air, water pollution and waste disposal issues regulated by the EPA, especially as they pertain to the power sector; coal industry regulation and market developments; energy efficiency policy and technology developments; congressional action on a range of energy funding and policy issues; state regulatory and legislative initiatives on environmental and clean air issues; tax and policy issues related to public power utilities.
TED (The Energy Daily) is a five-man operation with a daily deadline for a four-page edition, six pages on Friday including the weekly Clean Energy Spotlight supplement weekly. This is a weekly copy requirement of about 22,000 words of original content. We write about energy policy and regulation in the U.S. on the federal and state level; energy business and market developments; legal and court developments affecting the energy sector; important scientific and research findings affecting the energy sector.
- We have a broad client base with diverse interests, mainly in the power, renewable energy, natural gas, pipeline and nuclear sectors, but we have many federal and state policymakers (DOE, FERC, NRC, Congress, state energy and utility commissions) who read us to keep abreast of important developments across all energy sectors.
